Xenon 4.0 was released a couple days ago. I’ve installed it on an android tablet and android box with no issues encountered so far. As always, the setup skin requires a bit of patience. Fen Light is installed by default, and if you don’t use it, try it. You just may like it. I have it set to not auto play, but to let me accept the source. I also set it to preload the next episode, and that really saves time when binge watching a season. If you watch sports, you will want to add The Loop and Mad Titan. As always, don’t forget to authorize your Trakt. Same for your Real-Debrid, it that’s what you use. Additionally, you could install the Elementum and Elementum Burst addons. But, I will caution you to always run Xenon behind a VPN. You have been warned!! I will also suggest that you backup your build in case anything goes wrong down the line. You do that under Omega Wizard>Maintenance>Backup Build. I always name mine backup, so the next one just over writes the last one so they don’t pile up. 😉 Takes 10 or 15 minutes to backup, so go have an adult beverage. Another notable thing to mention is the IVue TV Guide is gone as it was pretty difficult to configure, and most people struggle with time zone setting. Use instead TV Guide (PVR) from the small menu on the TV Guide tab. All in all, this is a pretty nice and stable update, worth the time to install it.

Real Debrid Back Up
Real Debrid was not working from about 0600 on 22 Nov., until the evening hours of 23 Nov. Seems they only took it down until they became compliant. Below is a text of their news release explaining it. Real Debrid is once again handing out links in Xenon, or whichever Kodi build you happen to be using. So, if it’s acceptable to you, you should be able to continues using it. Remember to be behind a VPN!
Following a formal notice from the FNEF (https://fnef.fr/les-adherents/), Real-Debrid is strengthening its anti-piracy measures.
As you already know, we actively comply with DMCA and are already blocking a certain number of infringing torrents.
In the coming hours:
– audiovisual files available on a number of cyberlockers listed on the USTR blacklist or listed in the European “Counterfeit and Piracy Watch List” will all be blocked.
– a filtering by file name will also be applied, in accordance with the request of the FNEF, this may unfortunately lead to false positives that we will process manually.
– a blocking of all torrents hashes of private torrent trackers mentioned in cases at the Paris judicial court
– a complete purge of files potentially cached on the previously mentioned criteria
– the deactivation of the API endpoint /instantAvaibility
– a blocking of counterfeit Kodi / Stremio applications to the extent that they are identifiable
Real Debrid Down
I understand that it’s been quite some time since I made a blog post, but in the late summer, I had a total hip replacement and I’m still recovering. But, this is some important info about Real Debrid.
You don’t need to be using one of the fine Xenon builds, but if your Kodi build uses Real Debrid in order to scrape your links, be advised that yesterday, due to legal issues in France, Real Debrid is down for all purposes.
So, the next best alternative is to set up an account in All Debrid, as long as your build supports it. Xenon does. You go about authorising it in the same fashion that you did with Real Debrid, so I won’t go into it here.
I tested it today and here are the results:
If behind a VPN, you can’t set up a tryme free account, so I opted for a 1 month account for about $4. You need to set that up without VPN, then log in again when behind your VPN in order to authorise THAT IP address. After, you sign up, and your IP address is authorised, auth it in your build, then reset the build and start it back up. At that point, All Debrid should be doing what Real Debrid did. So, if you prefer to use a VPN as I do, everything should be okay. However, you will need to check whether yours is compatible..
All Debrid is very similar to Real Debrid, meaning that you can download videos that you have previously streamed (or simply just started to stream), or just stream the links on your android box or fire stick or tablet, or whatever. The cost is very similar, too. Around $18 for six months.
Weather issue with KODI
A little bit ago, Kodi 21.0 hit the Google Play Store, so if your device hasn’t automatically updated it, head to the play store and do it. If you are using a build like XENON, or similar that has a weather banner powered by Multi Weather, it has been marked as broken in the Kodi Repository. This is due to Yahoo suckiness and not sharing their weather. So, you probably noticed that your weather banner no longer is showing.
Easy to fix, just go to kodi settings, under services and change the weather service to Gismeteo. After you do that, you will need to configure the city location that you wish to display.
